Understanding the Rice Milling Process

Introduction

A Rice Mill is a food processing facility where paddy is processed into rice to be sold in the market. The process starts with the collection of paddy from fields, followed by milling, and sorting through machines. The paddy is rechecked before the process begins, ensuring quality at every stage. Once processed, the rice is ready to be sold and distributed.

Rice Milling Process

Key Sections in Rice Milling

In our complete project, we focus on three main sections: Purchase, Sale, and Stock. Each section plays a vital role in maintaining efficient rice milling operations.

Purchase Section

The purchase section deals with ordering paddy from three purchaser types: Mandi, Society, and Outsiders. During the order creation, the number of bags and the weight (KG) of the paddy are recorded, which are then stored in the mill. If the paddy is received from a society, agreements along with Lot Numbers are maintained.

Sale Section

In the sale section, orders are created for Mandi and Society buyers. The number of bags, product type, and quality sold are calculated. Once an order is created, a Sale Bill is generated with basic details, and the rice is dispatched from the mill.

Stock Management

We keep track of all stock with detailed records of "In Stock" (received rice) and "Out Stock" (sold rice). Each product is monitored by quality and quantity, helping us manage stock from one date to another efficiently.

Conclusion

Efficient rice milling requires proper management of purchase, sale, and stock. BizMantra’s Rice Mill Software helps automate these processes, ensuring smooth operations, accurate stock management, and better business insights.
